1. North Yungas in Bolivia
This road is known for its wondrous views as well as the fatal accidents that have taken place on it. The road is known as El Camino de la Muerte. It is a 64 kilometre stretch of winding narrow roads which offer limited visibility ahead and hence cause many accidents.

This scary looking tunnel has been constructed on through a Chinese mountain. The road is perhaps the only link to the Guoliang village. It is carved through the Taihang Mountain which is situated in Huixian, Xinxiang, in the province of Henan.
6. Zoji Pass in India
The name of the road is Zoji La, but it is usually called the Zoji Pass by the international media. It is in a tall mountain situated in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The road runs beside the 1-D National Highway that links Srinagar to Leh. The road is really perilous as it is very narrow and has no safety railing on any side. This road is still used by locals because it is the primary connection they have with the outside world.
7. Skippers Canyon Road in New Zealand
This historic canyon is situated to the north of Queenstown. This 22km expanse of the road makes its way through icy terrain and many valleys that are rugged and narrow.
8. Los Caracoles Road in Chile
This road connects Chile with Argentina and is situated in the Andes. The road experiences a lot of harsh weather which makes it difficult to travel on, in addition to a lot of steep portions which are also hard to drive on.
9. Stelvio Pass in Italy
This road is located at an altitude of 2,757 meters from the sea level in the mountains of Northern Italy. It also the tallest mountain of the Eastern Alps range.
10. Taroko Gorge Pass in Taiwan
The Taroko Gorge holds the record of being the most hazardous road out of several in all of Taiwan. It is a small winding road which makes its way through many mountains and cliffs. This 20 km stretch of road is situated at an elevation of 1200 meters from the sea level. The pass is well known for its curvy road which winds through the mountains.
